Calibration: Adopted S13 calibration conversion from instrumental units to MJy/sr: 70um conversion_factor = 702 MJy/sr per MIPS70unit (7% uncertainty) and 160um conversion_factor = 44.7 MJy/sr per MIPS160unit (12% uncertainty). MIPS calibration based on stellar SEDs and no color corrections have been applied. IV. Data Issues/Features/Comments: (1) Data are not color corrected (MIPS calibrated based on stellar SEDs). Check the SSC web pages for the latest color corrections and calibration. (2) The positions of the 160um data are systematically offset by about 4-5" with respect to the 70um and 24um positions (the estimated focal-plane position of the MIPS-160 array is slightly off for S13 versions and earlier; this was fixed for S14). (3) Absolute positions at 24um and 70um may be off by 1-1.5 arcsec (pointing uncertaintly for Spitzer) -- astrometric solution has not been tied to ACS or IRAC yet. (4) The PostBCD mosaic products are quick-look products made from the online FBCDs using MOPEX. The co-addition was not optimized for the different integration times (both medium+slow scan data combined directly). Bright sources have not been masked during the filtering process so flux densities for the brightest sources may be underestimated (e.g., in cases where negative side-lobes are seen along the scan direction near the source). Improved products can be made with optimized processing of the RAW data with the GeRT and additional techniques (e.g., Frayer et al., 2006a, AJ, 131, 250; Frayer et al. 2006b, ApJ, 647, L9). We plan to carry out optimized S-COSMOS-Ge processing of all data after the GO3 Epoch-2 observations are finished in May 2007. (5) APEX source extraction lists made based on "PRF" fluxes with S/N>7. The S/N>7 threshold has been shown previously to yield fairly reliable (non-spurious) source lists (e.g., xFLS, Frayer et al. 2006a). However, the photometric results have not been validated for these lists. In particular, careful background subtraction, deblending, and noise optimization has not yet been done. The main purpose of these lists is to identify the location of bright sources for future S-COSMOS Ge processing. These are quick-look source lists; use at your own risk. V.
